I work as the project coordinator on the NSF funded STEM "FORCE" grant at Northern Kentucky University. Our grant is a series of "STEP" grants distributed by NSF to increase recruitment and retention of STEM majors at our university. Job repsonsibilities involve: being the main point of communication between faculty and student employees, grant reconciliation, event planning and coordination, scheduling, evaluation, data analyis,and a plethora of other "assistant" type responsibilities.

I have worked in the lab of Dr. Richard Durtsche since the second semester of my Freshman year in February 2010. As I graduated this past December commencement, I am continuing to work on my research as a post-bacc. My first project, titled "Amphibian and Reptile Dynamics of a Rejuvenating Brown Field" was focused on anaylizing the efficiency of recent rejuvenation efforts performed by Lafarge Gypsum Plant to restore their west-end natural area to sustain wildlife, as it had… Show more I have worked in the lab of Dr. Richard Durtsche since the second semester of my Freshman year in February 2010. My first project, titled "Amphibian and Reptile Dynamics of a Rejuvenating Brown Field" was focused on anaylizing the efficiency of recent rejuvenation efforts performed by Lafarge Gypsum Plant to restore their west-end natural area to sustain wildlife, as it had previously been occupied as a railroad yard. I was funded by Lafarge Gypsum plant via the Environmental Protection Agency to montior these species present on site over the course of 2 years. I work as an hourly operations manager at AMC Multi-Cinema at Newport on the Levee, Ky. My departmental work has ranged from Food and Beverage management, employee schedule, human resources, employee reconginiton and retention/event coordination/rentals. I'm currently transitioning to my new department of Bar Manager.
