I have worked at the department of Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science at Lund University since November 2009. I started out as a programmer working mostly with development and maintenance of websites used in research for collecting data but I also did database development, server maintenance and technical support.In 2011 I added teaching to my tasks. I have gradually increased the amount of teaching and now it is almost 50% of my work. I teach in technical subjects like programming, databases, algorithms and GIS at Master's level, both on distance learning and on Campus. I teach and update teaching material as well as developing whole new courses for our Master's students. I'm glad I started teaching as it has allowed me to both keep working with programming and work with people.The technical part of my work has been very varied and includes Python programming as well as C# ,C. and of course JavaScript. I work with all kinds of database managers, like SQL Server, PostgreSQL, SQLite and MongoDB. In addition to this I do a fair bit of work on servers so I know Windows Server, Linux, Docker and so on.
