Problem solving motivates me. Whether it be leading a new project to solve one of life’s biggest annoyances or teaching how to use new features in a software package, working with and serving others to find solutions is where the greatest opportunity to innovate exists. Why? Because problem solving allows me to learn and find new ways to approach an issue. Innovation means that I am looking to change the way I think and help others reach a goal that has no clear path. Analyzing data, speaking with others, and just being observant of how a current process works always provides the opportunity to drive change and growth within an organization. That is how I always approach situations. In addition, using an agile framework in the approach allows for seeing what works and what does not. A person must always be able to let go of what just does not work and be willing to see if they can approach the problem in a different way. I am currently in the process of completing a Master of Science in Human Computer Interaction Design and as I want to move into a field that focuses on using technology to solve problems. I have also achieved a Master of Science in Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Informatics. Previously, I led the Safety & Training Team at the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD), reviewing hazards throughout the service area, implementing federal, state, and local compliance requirements, and collecting data to disseminate with the agency. It was in this role that I discovered my passion for Customer Success, because ultimately if you run an unsafe service, the customer will not be successful in getting to work, school, home, or wherever they may be headed. Prior to joining MTD, I worked in consulting, assisting public sector agencies and social service providers with a myriad of projects. Outside of work, I am a hobbyist photographer and videographer, photographing weddings, conferences, and public figures. I have also worked with several bloggers creating digital content to distribute, sell, and drive revenue.
