Prior to this, Blueback was established only in Norway.The initial business model was based around Geoconsultancy, taking advantage of the growing geomodelling market. At Blueback's peak, we had 14 billable consultants in London & Aberdeen.This G&G consultancy model however was not scalable, so we moved into software development. Our strategy was straightforward, develop Petrel plugins and sell them to companies that used Petrel.
