Mitch has been an active volunteer for The Lobster Conservancy’s Juvenile Lobster Montioring Program at Gerry Island since 2004. A privately held utilities application company whose mission is to provide municipalities and co-op utility companies with the ability to work with their customers to manage their use of electricity to reduce overall costs and consumption. Through load balancing, storage, managing the amount of energy used in the home and via user preference levels and forecasting tools, preferred renewable energy sources can be better utilized. Highlights:* On behalf of the Vineyard Energy Project, wrote a proposal for a funding opportunity through the Department of Energy’s Smart Grid Investment Grant, leading to the conception and funding of Grid Solutions. GE was a partner in the project with their new home communications gateway and line of smart appliances. - Solution: an analytics application that determined when the utility should initiate load shaping events; a Demand Response Management System (DRS) component to communicate DR events with eligible devices, monitor the events, and report on event impact. Decisions included measurement data as well as the development of algorithms to define thresholds, monitor them and alert when breached. - For GE and then Reliant Energy in Texas, Grid Solutions developed and implemented a lab/demo to demonstrate its solution for communicating price tier signaling to their customers.

A provider of revenue assurance and fraud solutions for telecom service providers worldwide. * Secured the company’s first two customers and developed a strategic plan for partners and alliances to support tier 1 ($50+ million customer) telecom service providers. Developed strategic alliances with HP, Protiviti, Intellity, Everis (formerly DMR consulting of Fujitsu).* Negotiated and closed the first license sale for Connectiva, a T-Mobile property in Pennsylvania.* Ultimately, Connectiva acquired 46 customers worldwide and partnered with IBM to provide their solution.

A global leader in providing billings systems for mobile providers; LHS acquired Infocellular (below)* Identified customer-facing components of Infocellular’s operations and developed an integration plan within LHS’s global divisions. Completed project on time, met sales revenue objectives, and provided the knowledge transfer for the divisions to sell, implement and provide first line support for Infocellular customers.

A producer of point of sale and customer acquisition software for mobile phone service providers.* Developed the delivery model for the company’s software solution, including process of engagement, investigation into operations and company objectives, team building of eight project managers and business analysts, training resources, Statements of Work, sales and technical support. Implementations included Sprint PCS (now T-Mobile US).
