Full time position, working with patients who experience conditions and ailments from sports injuries, headaches, and work related injuries. Utilize a patient centered approach for early detection and prevention of disease as well as state of the art pain management techniques including soft tissue muscle techniques, manual therapy, and advanced rehab techniques. Worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team with doctor of osteopathy, nurse practitioners and nurses, rehabilitation staff, and massage therapists. Oversee patient care plans, recommend related services, and implement rehabilitation plans including evaluations, daily notes, and billing. Organize marketing events for the clinic within neighboring cities to better serve community members.

Thirteen week, 50-hour per week, internship within a Chiropractic Clinic averaging 560 patients per week. Supervision completed with a Chiropractor who has extensive physiotherapy training. Worked with a variety of conditions including sprains/strains, fractures, as well as ligament tears and muscle imbalances. Participated on a rehabilitation team, prescribing and supervising the implementation of rehabilitative exercises while facilitating positive patient interactions. Implemented soft tissue techniques (ART, MAR, IAR) in addition to, patient specific adjustments. Participated in marketing events. Experience with billing aspects within the clinician setting. Specific experience with ChiroTouch software and use of digital X-ray including line drawings.

Four month, 25-hour per week, clinical experience working with low income patients. Completed case histories, physical/neurological evaluations, radiograpic imaging, and treatment plans for patients. Gained experience implementing therapeutic interventions including adjustments and soft tissue techniques (ART, MAR, IAR). Worked with a wide variety of conditions ranging from simple arthritis to heart failure. Gained a positive rapport with both faculty and patients while implementing practical treatment plans.

Completed hands on clinician experience with patients form the Davenport and Palmer College of Chiropractic community. Performed adjustments and soft tissue techniques (ART, MAR) under supervision from Palmer faculty chiropractors. Gained experience in billing and general insurance knowledge. Completed electronic medical health records on sight using SOAP note formats. Increased skills in the areas of taking and reading X-rays. Managed patient care and prescribed treatment plans.
