I was required to quickly learn the geography of Africa as well as key information (language of the countries, ministry details, regional bodies). After being offered a permanent contract I was placed in charge of leading a small team of staff. The project involved taking source documents from government ministries and converting the files over to a format suitable for compiling a database, having to adapt to constant change to improve the project. My new role involved: • Running inductions for the new members of staff. • Managing work flow to enable various documents to be ready to demo. • Being responsible for the team’s final product of work.
