Ten years of Retail experience, with the last seven years being in Operations Management and Compliance. I began as a Courtesy Clerk for the locally owned Thriftway in Madras, OR. I later worked as a Produce and Grocery clerk, writing orders for both departments. Within two years I worked my way to PIC before making the transition to Safeway/Albertsons. Safeway hired me as the Front End Service Operations Manager, which I held for a year before being promoted to Assistant Store Director. A year later I got a store of my own, a position I held over the next three years. In the fall of 2020, I accepted the role of Division Food Safety Specialist. Reporting to the Division Food Safety Manager, I am responsible for the training and execution of all food safety-related practices in 140 retail store locations in Oregon and Southwest Washington.During my time in retail, I have had the opportunity to own most facets of the business. From direct customer-facing management that included service, scheduling, ordering, employee, and P&L Management. I now work directly with current store and district leadership to assist in upholding strong and safe store-level practices, while also working with state and county regulatory agencies.
