Manage Electrical Construction projects at several substations working on High Voltage equipment from 13kV to 500kV. Job activities include:• Supervision of the contractors on site, provided direction on the different construction tasks to be accomplished• Perform inspection of construction activities to ensure conformance with approved designs/plans• Provided forecast information to Cost Engineers and maintain close control of the project budget• Proactively communicated scope changes and keeping both Contractor and in-house management teams informed• Maintain all necessary Construction documents• Communicate to all different stakeholders to ensure proper alignment of the goals and milestones• Perform all necessary billing with the contractor and track labor hours• Promote the importance of a Safe work place and perform environmental audit throughout the site• Coordinate the necessary resources for the receipt, installation, processing, testing and final commissioning of the equipment being installed. • Develop and maintain construction schedule and identify critical points• Organize and facilitate construction meeting • Understanding of Bargaining Unit rules and proper communication with union employees• Interface with client regarding project status and coordinate as necessary to resolve issues with construction, procurement, and/or engineering• Perform drawing review to verify accuracy of wiring diagrams in comparison to schematics, troubleshooting of wiring issues
