The Milk formed in 2009 from mutual love of soul music. We signed to Sony Music in 2011 and made the top 30 album chart with our debut album 'Tales from the Thames Delta'. We have enjoyed radio plays from a number of stations and DJ's including Zane Lowe, Fearn Cotton and Mista-Jam on Radio 1. Steve Lamaq, Dermot O'Leary and Huey Morgan on Radio 2. John Kennedy and Mary-Anne Hobbs on XFM plus many others. 3 sellout UK tours in 2012 culminated in the Sold out show at Sheppards Bush Empire. We continue to tour and play major festivals including Isle of Wight, V, Ibiza Rocks, T in the Park and this year Glastonbury amongst many many many others.Our second album titled 'Favourite Worry' was released on 16th October 2015 on the Wah Wah 45s imprint. Produced by Paul Butler (The Bees, Michael Kiwanuka) and recorded at Chale Abbey studios on the Isle of Wight and Woods Lodge Studios in Essex. It has been selected by Huey Morgan as album of the year on BBC 6 Music.Our third studio album ‘Cages’ was released January 2020. It was our first self produced record in collaboration with award winning engineer Matt Wiggins.
