I was hired to manage and reduce a large backlog of overdue client maintenance appointments that had built up over the previous year. I ran and collated several different reports monthly and used that information to programme structured, achievable workloads for a large team of both in-house and subcontracted engineers. I had reduced the backlog by a margin of 70% prior to making a move into service coordination in October 2017.This position has required strong analytical skills, the ability to properly utilise large volumes of complex data and be adaptable in an environment where deadlines and workloads can change rapidly. Where more sophisticated scheduling of work was required I have also liaised with management, clients, engineers and local authorities, calling on the need to communicate confidently and appropriately with internal and external stakeholders of varying seniority.While working in service coordination, the emphasis has shifted to the organising of ad hoc repair visits. This requires a need to effectively and almost constantly multi-task, be attuned to the whereabouts, capabilities and workloads of many engineers at once, and communicate with customers, clients, managers and colleagues at all levels while tailoring the manner of these communications to fit the situation.

As market changes led to the company downsizing, the requirement to work both on my own initiative and as part of a team became paramount, as did the need to work outside the remit of my job description to ensure work was completed on time and to a high standard.
