Sort leaves by species to measure the leaf area per species. Sort roots and rocks from soil core samples to determine underground biomass and water content. Measure pH and conductivity of ground and rain water from multiple sites.

Marquette, MI

Intern with the task of marking trees, mostly in northern hardwoods. Became proficient at marking and running lines. Was also introduced to log scaling and grading, and measuring for stream crossings.

Place of work for the past three summers. Helped customers and ran the register; would oversee the business when owners were gone. Took care of all plants and buildings, making sure everything is healthy and working correctly.
