During my six years in the navy I gained much in experience, and work ethic. As an engineman in the navy I cultivated my engineering skills by working on various pieces of machinery including diesel engines, air compressors, ac units, reverse osmosis units, damage control equipment, piping, and valves to name a few. Outside of job skills, having started from the bottom rank of E1 and advancing to E5 before being honorably discharged. being at those different levels I learned how to follow leadership and the chain of command, taking orders and being able to carry out tasks alongside my fellow shipmates. As I became higher in the chain of command I learned to mange my shipmates of lower rank, taking on more responsibility for myself and those working under me. Responsibilities like ordering parts we needed for future work, scheduling, leadership, and personnel management. After the navy I worked a few jobs short term while going to school two of them were in the veterinary field acting as a veterinarian assistant and technician. In these positions I learned a great deal about veterinary medicine, working with animals in all shapes and sizes and varying temperaments. these positions gave me experience in drawing blood, vaccinations, restraining, x-ray, and medical assistance and sanitation.My other job after the military was as a salesperson at a best buy. In this position I worked with customers to understand their individual needs and what ways to improve their lives when it came to their technological needs. whether their devices at home weren't working and needed replacement or even wanting to better understand what solutions would be best for them based on their needs and capability. From this position I was able to speak with and understand people from their points of view to best work out what it was they needed for their home lives.Based on past experience I find great enjoyment from working alongside others who are like minded and in it for the team, that kind of family I got your back and you got mine is the greatest work environment one could ask for. Trouble shooting and problem solving are things I find draw my attention the most in a working environment, I enjoy a good challenge. Giving assistance to others is in all honesty a wonderful feeling, knowing that you can go out and and help those who need it, even if its something small it could mean the world to the other person, in this way we can bring about positive change in one another and the world could use a little more of that.
