Growing up on one of the most beautiful coastlines on the east coast. Im proud to call Charleston, SC home. I've had a passion for the water and outdoors my whole life. Spending most of the summers on boats or at the beach, you couldn't keep me indoors. In 2011 I took the chance of a lifetime and pursued a career in Yachting. Not knowing what to expect, it became a bit of a culture shock at first. So many different nationalities all crammed into the city of Fort Lauderdale, FL. All trying to do the same thing, get a job on a yacht. Spending a little over three months doing day work it wasn't to long before i landed my first full time position. Here it is three years later and I've seen more of the world then i could have imagined as a kid. Bahamas, Atlantic Crossings, Mediterranean, Maldives, are just a few of the places that i've had the chance to explore due to this line of work. Making many friends became the key in networking. Going to company social events, crew agency parties, and boat shows was just a few of many ways to get your face and name recognized. I had the chance to work alongside some of the greatest people and made best friends that will last a life time. This experience is more than just a job. Its a lifestyle. Its the reason I get up every morning. I'm going to go as far as i can, meet as many people this world has to offer and explore the most remote places on earth.Having just completed my US Coast Guard Able Seafarers License. My immediate career objective is to work my way to obtaining my US Coast Guard OICNW and become an officer on a vessel greater than 60m. Having worked in the industry for three years I want to take on more responsibility and develop my leadership skills. Which will in turn compliment my licenses and career objectives.
