Responsible for paginating pages of The Berkshire Eagle, The Bennington Banner, The Brattleboro Reformer, and The Manchester Journal using InDesign 2019. Copy editing duties include proofing body copy for front pages and display copy for inside pages, as well as making those changes and communicating them to PrePress.Job requires me to lay out sports, features, local news, entertainment, health, section fronts, front pages, and special sections, using our CMS, in accordance to NENI's style. I worked part-time for my first two years in the position, but was brought on full time upon my graduation in 2018. Notable projects • 2016 redesign of all four papers. I designed the very first edition of The Eagle under the new design.• 2017 launch of SportsPlus, The Eagle's expanded weekend sports section. Since 2017, I have primarily focused on sports newspaper design, and I have designed almost every edition of SportsPlus.• 2020 launch of The Eagle, Reformer, and Banner's Digital Monday editions, which I took a lead on in regards to its design, workflow, and overall direction. • 2020 launch of the Monday edition of SportsPlus, which was picked up by the Reformer and Banner. I pitched the initial idea and led its concept and design. • 2021 launch of The Huddle, The Eagle's weekly high school football section, which I took a lead on in terms of design, presentation, and workflow.
