About Mitchell Clifton
My path to ecommerce Product Management can be traced back to my first full-time role as a grocery Department Manager. A new program was introduced, where semi-automated ordering replaced ordering by paper and pencil. This change replaced tribal knowledge of what sells with historical and forecasted data of sales sales velocity per product. In this rollout, I learned that process and technology changes could be rewarding, exciting, and help the end-user become more effective. Ever since, my career has been threaded from grocery retail, to produce inspection, to grocery ecommerce warehouse leadership, to ecommerce program management, and finally, to product management. With each move, I have sought to challenge myself with either a scope expansion and continuous learning.
