Mitchell is a NZRAB registered architect and Director at Fabric. He has over 22 years experience working as an architect and led over 2500 projects largely within the Canterbury region. The work he is experienced in ranges from small renovations and earthquake repairs on residential buildings, new build mid to high end single and multi-unit residential developments, through to multi-story mixed use and commercial complexes. These include the likes of churches, multi-level apartments, warehouses, heritage category 1 listed buildings and medical facilities. Mitchell holds professional memberships with both NZ Registered Architects Board, NZ Institute of Architects, Architectural Designers NZ and Designers Institute of NZ, as well as Fabric being an NZIA practice member. He has sat on numerous industry boards and currently is a board trustee of Te Putahi, Center for Architecture and City Making (Christchurch Transitional Architecture Trust), as well as on the Ara Industry advisory committee and Recognition of prior learning panel. This, along with regularly appearing as a guest crit or lecturer, is a testament to his commitment to the industry.
