Passionate about Internationally-minded education through the IB PYP, I understand the need to provide a rigorous, engaging and student-driven curriculum, including positive psychology and innovative technologies into the classroom. My enthusiasm for how AI can be utilised by both students and teachers continues to develop, being a personal passion and professional development focus. Beyond the classroom I now have significant experience in facilitating professional development in a range of areas, as I step into the next phase of my education career. I have over 12 years of experience in inquiry / concept based education, as well as leading teams towards CIS accreditations and IB PYP evaluations in multiple schools. I have vast experience using both Reader’s and Writer’s Workshops and extensive professional development regarding approaches to mathematical teaching and learning. I strongly believe that my experience working with the IB PYP program (at multiple highly regarded public, independent and international schools, in three countries) as well as an accredited John Hattie Visible Learning school would be highly beneficial to any school environment. In addition to being an expert classroom teacher, I have been afforded incredible opportunities as a pedagogical coach and leading teacher. I have worked as a pedagogical coach; focusing on supporting staff members to collect and use data to evidence learning, at one of Australia’s leading independent schools, Caulfield Grammar School. This was complemented through the dissertation and focus of my Master of Education degree on educational coaching. Since moving to Hangzhou International School, China, I have acquired the role of Head Trainer of the Teaching in English in Multilingual Classrooms course through Lexis Education. This has led to facilitating over 40 hours of professional development to international educators from around the globe, who teach from 3 year old kinder to year 10.
