I am currently employed as an English Teacher at Guildford Grammar School where I work to fulfill the holistic development of my students. My involvement in the Guildford Grammar Rowing Club allows me to build relationships and understand the needs of students beyond the classroom. This follows an extensive career as Rowing coach at Trinity College, Christ Church Grammar School and Wesley College.I actively pursue opportunities to extend myself and develop new skills in the workforce. As previous Head of Year at Mercy College I gained a deep understanding of working with students around their wellbeing and mental health. This includes procedures around support plans, liasing with stakeholders and seeking external support services. I also gained an awareness of College operations and procedures, along with their purposes. The skills I developed in this role allow me to be a supportive and caring teacher for students, while understanding the purpose of school procedures and directives.
