All of my life it was evident that I was a mechanically minded person, so it was only natural for me to go for a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have recently graduated from Cal Poly for ME with a concentration in mechatronics, and I am working in a startup San Luis Obispo, where I am enjoying the beautiful town for its amazing rock climbing, mountain biking, and a bustling music scene. I am currently the CEO in SafePlate Technologies, where we are working on new methods of allergen detection to help allergen-free food become easier to produce and more accessible to everyone.In terms of previous work experience, I scored my first internship after Junior year of high school with Northrop Grumman Corp. in Space Park, Redondo Beach. They accepted me again for my next two summer internships, where I learned many new things about the space/defense industry and mechanical design. After deciding to change things up, I worked at Daniel's Woodland in Paso Robles where I filled the role of a CAD specialist, something they had been looking for a while. I was able to work directly with machinists to model mechanisms and create intuitive assembly instructions in order to automate and streamline production time. Work for Daniel's Woodland continued part-time throughout the following school year. I was also able to work for CCC Intelligent Solutions the next summer where I helped to work with a team in their R&D department which was creating detailed models of popular cars to use in collision simulations and do internal part damage predictions.
