As a practicing Professional Water Resource Engineer (MD P.E Certification 46214), my professional focus is improving the health of the Chesapeake Bay through the installation of new stormwater management facilities and retrofit of outdated facilities. I have an excess of 5 years designing, permitting, biding and constructing wet ponds (retention ponds); stormdrain systems with offline treatment facilities (Infiltration Trench, Underground Sand Filter); bioretention basins; wetlands; and outfall retrofits. I am responsible for all elements of the design from concept generation and design computations to site grading, erosion and sediment control, and landscaping. As a project engineer with BayLand, it is my responsibility to manage the development of multiple projects, coordinate with public/private clients to ensure design concerns are addressed and engage permit reviewers. I routinely provide guidance to junior engineers, ensuring they develop into competent professionals, while simultaneously delegating project tasks to produce work-products in a timely fashion. With over 5 years of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, TR-20, TR-55, and HEC-RAS, I readily, and regularly assist my co-workers with program and modeling related questions. My responsibilities include managing and updating company-wide standards, notes and details. I also am responsible for providing final approval of survey processing. Setting my professional self aside, I am an avid runner, climber an intermural sports fan. For me, most evenings involve something active. In my down time, I’m normally looking at “crunchy” memes on Reddit, playing League of Legends or looking forward to the next DC United Game.
