I attended Nuclear Power School at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC). Since then, I have been working as an Electronic Technician (Nuclear) onboard USS Nimitz, one of the largest and most powerful aircraft carriers in the world. My core competencies include physics, circuit analysis, leadership, and problem-solving.In my current role, I am responsible for creating electrical and propulsion power on an A4W Reactor platform, as well as operating and performing maintenance on electric, hydraulic, and hydraulic-electric reactor systems related to instrumentation and control. I work with a team of highly skilled and trained technicians, engineers, and operators, and contribute to the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the nuclear reactor and its associated systems. I am motivated by the challenge and the opportunity to apply my knowledge and skills to a complex and dynamic environment, and to support the mission and the vision of the US Navy. I am eager to learn and grow in a new career in the civilian sector, applying knowledge and skills obtained in my six years with the Navy!
