I established and then led the prioritisation, design, research and publication of agricultural trade intelligence products. Our analysis was used to create public facing products, inform executive decision and departmental prioritisation.We specialised in quickly responding to cross-cutting policy challenges by creatively using quantitative and qualitative data. We also developed a suite of analysis and products to prepare for future challenges and to enable other areas of the department to self-service their data needs.

My team provided policy advice about the design and implementation of the new Regional Investment Corporation farm loans facility. This included engaging with major Australian lenders to design a set of policy options, facilitating and evaluating a multi-stage procurement process and engaging a service provider. I provided analysis and advice and was the lead probity officer.The RIC successfully engaged a service provider. As of FY2021-22, the RIC has settled 1,499 loans valued at over $1.67 billion
