- Performed blood alcohol analyst for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). - Prepared blood samples for alcohol analysis using gas chromatography. - Using the data collected, prepared reports for use in legal cases. - Performed other duties around the office including, receiving samples from the mail and checking them in, quality control on all samples while they were in the custody of CDPHE, and disposal of biological waste. - Attended the Borkenstein Alcohol Course at Indiana University (IU), a one-week expert-level program of on-campus instruction and interaction, on medico-legal alcohol topics. The program is through the Robert F. Borkenstein Center for Studies of Law in Action in the IU Department of Criminal Justice.

- Tasked with maintaining the campus utilities drawings and collecting GPS data of the campus using a Trimble system and compiling this data into maps using AutoCAD. - Maintained the Archibus facilities management program. - Helped to develop the preventive maintenance program and was tasked with locating all storm water utilities on campus.

- Performed research for my analytical chemistry professor in the area of environmental chemistry. - The research involved method development and analysis of BTEX and PAH compounds in spiked water samples using a gas chromatograph with a flame ionization detector. - The extraction method used was a head space liquid phase micro extraction to limit our impacts on the environment due to the toxicity of these compounds. - I was also required to keep a detailed lab notebook on procedures and prepare presentations to present the collected data to my class peers.
