Mitch Friedman is VP Business Development Strategy and Technology for the Electronic Warfare business unit within Electronic Systems, a division of Harris Corporation. In this role Friedman is responsible for all aspects of new business capture including creating overall business strategies, driving and aligning business pursuits as well as technology roadmaps to achieve better than market rates of revenue growth.Prior to his current role Friedman served VP & GM of Exelis Exelis Electronic Warfare Business Units and was responsible for operational performance and P&L. Friedman's has previously served at Exelis as Vice President of Strategy and Technology and led Strategic Planning as well as R&D management and CRAD pursuits. Prior to these roles, Friedman was Vice President of Engineering where he led a team engaged in the design, development and testing of electronic warfare systems, radar technology, tactical military communications equipment, undersea mine defense systems, acoustic sensors, and weapons release structures.Friedman has been a part of Electronic Systems for over 30 years, serving in a series of leadership and management positions of increasing responsibility. He has a strong background in real-time software development, signal processing and information assurance and has led the software and systems development for various secure communications programs for the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force.Friedman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in computer science from Queens College, City University of New York and a Master of Science degree in computer science from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He also earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Stevens Institute of Technology and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
