Hi I'm Mitch! I am a recent graduate of the University of British Columbia with a BA in Psychology. I hold myself to a high academic standard and graduated with high distinction on the Arts Dean's List. My research interests include therapeutic implications of comedy for both mood and neurological disorders, as well as psychedelic therapy and default-mode network functioning.I also have a strong background in comedy performance serving as the Vice-President of UBC Improv, Western Canada's largest university improv program. There I had the opportunity to perform in the finals of the international College Improv Tournament. I'm currently located in Toronto, ON where I am lucky to study with the famed Second City Training Centre. Personal Values:- Adventure: a non-judgemental curiosity and bold enthusiasm to explore. I believe this viewpoint also breeds compassion, active listening, and creativity.- Humour: many of my personal comedic heroes like Douglas Adams and Monty Python are willing to look at the absurdity that is our world and dare to laugh at it. Viktor Frankl wrote that the only freedom that can never be taken away is one's reaction to life circumstances and I think laughter is hugely empowering.- Mindful Judgement: a willingness to see every side of a problem and a striving toward balanced solutions.
