I graduated from Southeast Community College back in June of 2018. After a period of searching for a job that would be a good fit for the knowledge that I acquired I ended up as a low voltage technician for Commonwealth Electric Company of the Midwest. After acquiring some experience in the industry I was recommended to fill an estimation role within the local branch. Since then I have been learning as much as I possibly can while handling the majority of our electrical bids as well as smaller computer related questions.

I was recommended by co-workers for the open electrical estimation role we had. After a couple week trial period I decided to take on the role. I currently handle most of the project bids that we send out of our local branch as well as assisting with service quotes. I also handle small computer related questions within the branch.

Our low voltage division was picking up during the time I was just an apprentice. Since I had some computer knowledge our branch manager asked if I would be willing to switch to the low voltage division. I accepted the role early 2020. I was in the apprentice program during my time as a low volt technician. I unfortunately had to stop after the second year.
