Miracles Counseling Center is a trauma recovery center that provides free therapeutic and case management services to victims of crime in the state of California. I provide weekly therapy and case management services to a caseload of 15 clients and conduct weekly group therapy sessions.

I assisted in research that studies the academic effects of food and housing insecurity on higher education students by conducting trauma-informed interviews and focus groups to gather data from higher education students. I analyzed the collected data and wrote research articles to help guide higher education basic needs assistance policy and California state legislation. I also trained and mentored fellow research assistants and assisted in administrative duties.

I provided short term individual therapy to LGBTQIA+ adults and adolescents utilizing evidence-based practices. Additionally, I conducted bio-psychosocial assessments and created client-centered treatment plans based on DSM-V diagnoses. I was responsible for scheduling, conducting, and presenting client intakes and case consultations to The Center’s clinical team. When necessary, I referred clients to additional services inside and outside of The Center to ensure client continuity of care. I also supported the local LGBTQIA+ community through community engagement and advocacy work.

I provided evidence-based individual and group therapy to high school students at Narbonne High School. I also completed trauma-informed risk assessments and safety planning with students. When necessary, I collaborated with parents and school staff to link students and their families to community-based resources. Additional duties included supporting students in leading student-run organizations promoting campus mental health.

I facilitated family therapy that addressing family conflict and youth behavioral concerns. I provided psychoeducation to parents on harm reduction, setting boundaries, and disciplining their children and counseled teens individually to address behavioral concerns, truancy, self-harm, and drug use. I collaborated with parents, school staff, hospital staff, and juvenile parole officers when providing safety planning for client.

I supervised visitations between family members with cases involving the Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) and provided appropriate emotional support and positive regard in all interactions with parents, caregivers, and children. I administered weekly state-required psychoeducation sessions to parents with pending DCS cases and supplied detailed documentation regarding psychoeducation sessions and supervised visits to Arizona DCS.

I strategized with AA accounting and IT teams to ensure new automation projects contained maximum value and presented key insights and findings to upper-level management which influenced AA accounting policies.

I collaborated with employees across various hedge funds to generate critical reports monitoring fund performance. In addition, I assisted in managing Goldman Sachs' supported hedge funds valued at $100MM+. I also analyzed and compiled returns for over 350 funds for internal business research and client presentations.
