•Worked on a team to design an industrial automatic freezer sliding door that is large enough to allow vehicle entry, but can also be operated manually by an average person•Achieved a design that greatly increases gasket lifespan and decreases maintenance required compared to current industry standard•Created and managed professional engineering documents including Statement of Work, Design Specification Report, and presentations•Worked through entire product development process starting with concept generation and ending with fabrication of the product•Designed and performed lifecycle tests targeting high stress components to provide insight on optimal material use

• Teamed with engineers, vendors, and contractors to design and manufacture custom tractor trailers for the natural gas industry• Suggested using a514 high tensile steel instead of standard a36 carbon steel to decrease overall weight and increase strength which was later implemented• Designed and performed stress analysis on parts within semi-trailer bogies• Identified design conflicts during manufacturing process and organized them into redesign reports• Communicated with superiors to track progress of projects• Conducted day-to-day tasks with other engineers (i.e. making work orders, ordering parts, and managing spreadsheets)
