Redesigned schematic and layout of Battery Management PCB to improve robustness of overcurrent and overvoltage events, improved the design to support EMI compliance. Sucessfully executed and developed a bring up plan to validate the boards key system functionalities to ensure design changes didnt affect BMS preformance.Designed PCB layout for module monitoring board, design included high accuracy temperature and voltage sensing, cell balancing up to 170mA per cell and ISOSPI. Developed test plan to evaluate thermal capabilities during balancing.Outsourced End of Line validation of Battery Management PCBs, developed test cases to validate every circuit on the board, designed the bed of nails system, managed project and worked with vendors to ensure the project would complete on a tight schedule.Ran Design Validation tests to validate our boards compliance to ISO 16750-2 and ISO 17637-2. Identified root causes and provided design solutions to achieve compliance on these standardsUtilized the CAN interface to validate all functions of the Battery Management PCBs, identified the root cause of defected boards.

Validated the SerDes high speed interface by implementing python scripts to perform digital eye diagram tests.Supported the thermal bring up of PCBs by writing python scripts to thermally stress components, configure devices and extract temperature readings.Performed schematic reviews on pinouts, communication interfaces and device footprints, used bash scripts to automate the review of netlists.Investigated and discovered various hardware defects on faulty PCB's, performed reworks in order to validate designs.
