About Mitchell Juneau

As a Project Officer at the DOE Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations, I oversee the Carbon Capture Large-Scale Pilots Program, which aim to accelerate deployment of innovative technologies for CCUS. I collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including federal agencies, national labs, industry partners, and academic institutions to ensure the technical and financial viability of the projects, as well as their alignment with DOE's strategic goals and mission.I received my Ph.D. from the University of Rochester in 2023 as a member of the Porosoff Lab, where I studied novel catalyst materials for conversion of carbon dioxide to hydrocarbons; a promising approach to create viable, low-carbon petrochemical/fuel alternatives via carbon recycling. During this time I published 4 first-author peer-reviewed papers covering investigations from the macro-scale industrial scale-up evaluation of catalyst materials, to micro-scale characterization of structure-performance relationships of transition metal carbide and structured zeolites in CO2 upgrading.I am passionate about advancing clean energy solutions that can mitigate the negative effects of climate change and create a more sustainable future.

Listed skills include Microsoft Excel, Visual Basic, Matlab, Microsoft Word, and 11 others.
