In December, 2011 I graduated with my Bachelor's degree from Kansas State University, with a degree in Sociology. While completing coursework I had my first opportunity to assist with student development as a Resident assistant. It was through many of these experiences in which I developed strong leadership skills.I have a strong passion for learning, as well as passing on knowledge and in December, 2013 successfully completed course work for Counseling and Student development that allows me to put theory to practice. Taking graduate courses, in addition to working a demanding part time Graduate position, has prepared me for learning a new occupation at an accelerated pace.As a former Graduate Assistant for Kansas State University Housing and Dining Services, I have had the chance to advise and supervise several student groups from all types of backgrounds. My experience with supervision also gives me the ability to understand a student that may not be reaching their full potential. My experiences, as well as passion for advising all types of student cohorts have and will continue to allow me to grow as an individual.
