Project Manager responsible for managing all aspects of the pre-commissioning project from a protection and controls (P&C) aspect, focusing on bringing technical knowledge to the project lifecycle. Work with engineering firms for multiple projects throughout the South West. Coordinate and manage the schedule for pre-commissioning on brownfield substation upgrades. Interact with the Utility Management Group to discuss the sequencing and time durations for each project to make sure the schedule is met. Responsible for coordinating electricians, relay technicians and commissioning engineers; inventory materials for P&C tasks; reviewing job site activities; providing field engineering for wiring; and verifying wiring per design drawings. Mentor and teach pre-commissioning agents when technical questions arise and ensure that safety and human performance improvement (HPI) are followed.

I'm overseeing the testing of new substations from 115KV and up. I direct and oversee the testing on site and manage the day to day activities. I review all the test results and approve them for the final reports. I interact with the client on any problems that we encounter on the job from wiring problems or design issues. Maintain and manage the budget to make a profitable job.

Perform electrical construction supervisory responsibilities for the Inside Plant Construction. Promote safety throughout the jobsite and ensure environmental compliance. Interface with governmental agencies for regulatory compliance with permitting and licensing requirements. Manage delivery of materials and equipment to jobsite. Review and approve project schedule and contractor progress. Attend project coordination meetings. Review, comment and approve outage schedules. Direct the assembly/installation of major electrical equipment, structures, conductors, cabling and relay/controls equipment. Provide daily jobsite inspection of work to ensure completion in accordance with designs, specifications and industry standards. Complete construction reports, support contractor billing, in-service reports, Contractor/Vendor evaluations and closeout reports.

Performed functional testing on all 13.8KV and 4160V switchgear and tested all contactors and breakers to NETA specifications. Assured all motors and transformers operated correctly for their engineering application. Preformed all testing on UPS and battery chargers to make backup systems operated correctly.

Preformed Commissioning activities on Gas and Steam turbines through out the US.
