Ranger is a no-code solution for protecting, organizing, and sharing your Excel data within your organization for faster, easier more accurate forecasting, reporting, and more. Ranger immediately makes firms smarter, more efficient, and less prone to operational risk by adding a centralized cloud layer to existing business processes. As with any startup, but especially a two-person affair, I got the opportunity to wear a lot of hats in this role.As sole front-end engineer I was responsible for:≫ Designing interfaces to be recognizable and intuitive within the established Microsoft Office UX environment, despite features being novel.≫ Architecting a robust, durable app that would allow for nimble response to customer feedback.≫ Creating and consuming robust APIs for client-server communication across distributed system.≫ Maintaining complex accessible state within the app and knowing when to delegate from client to server.≫ Prioritizing accessibility and security and meeting both best practices and Microsoft's production guidelines for both.≫ Implementing CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployment across multiple branches for testing.≫ Maintaining best repo management practices in Git to allow for legible history for future engineers on the project.≫ Incorporating user feedback into user stories and rapid feature prototyping and development≫ Building a separate static site for marketing materials and user information: getranger.coTechnology used: React, Webpack, React Router, Styled Components, REST APIs, Microsoft Office Javascript API, Microsoft Fabric React, Microsoft Authentication Library, MSSQL, Azure Cloud Services (App Service, CosmosDB, Azure DevOps), Python, Flask
