Leveraging the proprietary DaSMoDe™ methodology, emphasis is on first principles thinking and careful data curation to ensure the reliability and robustness of AI/ML models.Projects: Conducted research into unsupervised anomaly detection methods and the use of explainability frameworks for machine learning models. Core Responsibilities Included:• Performing experiments using different methods for unsupervised anomaly detection on various datasets.• Leverage the open-source Python anomaly detection library PyOD and others, including scikit-learn, pandas, matplotlib, and seaborn.• Implement detector models, including kNN, Local Outlier Factor, Kernel Density Estimation, and Isolation Forest, with various data preprocessing approaches.• Evaluate model performance on the open-source ADbench dataset collection and additional financial datasets using metrics such as AUC-ROC.• Develop tools for ML model explainability using frameworks such as SHAP and LIME.• Produced detailed weekly progress reports and delivered an end-of-project presentation of findings to stakeholders implementing anomaly detection in financial services.Additional responsibilities included:• Participating in weekly learning and discussion sessions led by industry experts on various technical and non-technical topics, including Stocks & Bonds, Derivatives, Syndicated Lending, Master Data Management, Relational and Dimensional data modeling, Change Management, Agile Methodologies, and other financial services-related topics.• Engaging in multiple weekly meetings to discuss project progress.
