I've been working part-time at this local computer shop since high school. I deliver on retail, administrative, and technical duties in support of the business.

My contribution to broader company risk initiatives saw the development of automated machine learning tools to assist the fraud analysts in developing new detection rules that are immediately suitable to import to the primary detection framework.This work involved a large amount of Python and T-SQL development to facilitate large scale data analysis in a memory constrained environment. Additional contributions included analysis of customer records to assist compliance reporting and the associated visualisation for management self-service analytics.

I worked a brief project to apply the methodology developed in my Honours project to a broader class of models. The aim was to confirm that the proposed methods extend beyond the synthetic benchmarks originally studied.

As a senior analyst, in addition to mentoring the junior members of the team, I was responsible for the maintenance of numerous facets of the overall monitoring platform and regular reporting and data management requirements.I had first-hand exposure to New Payments Platform (NPP) messaging and payment card tokenisation usage, and provided support in a large technical project to migrate the core monitoring system and uplift reporting automation.

Core duties involved developing, monitoring, and assessing transaction alerts, managing cardholder disputes, and reporting and analysis of portfolio performance.Developed low-level technical understanding of payments messaging (AS2805/ISO8583), gained insights into operational risk management and modelling, as well as mining complex datasets to elicit common patterns in fraud events.

Primary duties included processing of international and domestic funds transfers and cheques. Experience gained in international payments networks, core banking technologies, general financial systems compliance frameworks, and a bank's AML/CTF obligations.
