This is a family business. I was first involved in an aerial survey for crocodile populations in Botswana and their National Parks and Wildlife Management Authority. My involvement there had to do with data collection and sorting along with some minor analytics. I then worked as a grading foreman for live crocodiles on farms in Margate. I then moved to farm manager in Wartburg. SACT engaged in finished leather goods with a Singaporean JV partner and I am currently working as Brand Builder for the latest business venture, Nilo Leather Company.

My second Brand Challenge client.I held the position of financial management and lead brand strategist. Our objective was to successfully rejuvenate or rebrand a Non-Profit Organisation, which aims to set up portable medical units throughout South Africa. A great learning curve and awesome way to have met some new people around campus.

This was my client during our Brand Challenge program, through the Vega School of Branding, where I held the position of financial management and budget allocation, Strategist and assistant Art Director as well as Head Presenter. My key role however came in the form of client communications where I worked closely with Ruth Paulsen, who is their head of Marketing.

A non-profit organization that we worked with through Vega this year. My position involved research and analytics, concept design and strategy. Our objective was to establish the F4T brand as an independent organization from the Umthombo Fund.

Camp manager and client liaison. I worked as a fishing guide on the Zambezi River and Lake Cahora Basa. I was involved in crocodile egg collection, crocodile capture, and an animal release program.

Between SACT responsibilities I was afforded time for work tours. I worked as an apprentice for a little over two months where I was involved in anti-poaching patrols, road building, controlled firebreaks and game management.
