My expertise (sounds grand) is working with athletes and non athletes to helping delve through the beautiful bitter sweet anatomical puzzle that creates muscular mahem up and down the body bringing most of us to nearly going stir crazy! Below is a list of my accomplishments: 2001 Studied soft tissue injuries, soft tissue therapy, anatomy and physiology 2003 Launched David Lloyds first injury clinic, Brighton Marina 2006 Asics biomechanics academy, shoe fit design 2007 Clifton Bradley 'sub4 podiatry' lower limb assessments and orthotic provision 2008 - 2009 Currex GmbH level 1,2,3 biomechanics 2D running gait analysis 2009 Launched StrideUK Performance Analysis, 2D full body running assessments 2010 Pose / Alexander technique Running Coach Malcolm Balk 2010 - 2014 Running Fitness + Runners World magazine running expert / columnist / Q&A contributer 2011 Newton / Natural running coach 2011 Yelling Performance guest speaker Oxfam marathon training camp 2012, 2013, 2014 Virgin London Marathon guest speaker / presenter Dorney Lake, Eaton 2014 MotionMetrix.se Motion Capture Running Gait / Clinical Gait 3D performance analysis 2014 to 2019 StrideUK performance Analysis, 3D Running gait analysis 2019 to present Running injury clinic MitchinHoveParkRunning biomechanics over the past 20 years has seen so many conflicts, U-turns and band wagon theories as to why we get injured when we run. In my opinion, technology has been key to allowing us to progress from delivering a clinical hypothesis (a theoretical assumption) to now being able to deliver evidence based diagnosis using Physics (science of matter, motion and energy and gravitational laws) to be way more accurate with improving performance and rehabilitating injuries.
Listed skills include Injury Prevention, Fitness, Event Management, Coaching, and 46 others.

I write for various sporting publications including Running Fitness magazine, spotlighting various injuries or common biomechanical weaknesses associated with running. In 2008, I trained with The Asics Biomechanics Academy and then went on to gain a huge education with currex gmbh, these were the guys that created the first running analysis software that I ended up investing in. Moving to the Agora Building gave us the space to home all three businesses. I designed both websites, marketing, social media and branding. This area became relatively easy for me as it allowed me to be creative from a completely blank canvas, without any limitations. StrideUK introduced me to some very high level runners and a few celebrities too. We had a review in The Independent, worked with British olympic athlete Liz yelling and got to work with Yelling Performance presenting to Virgin London Marathon. Since then we have worked with Paralympian 'Blade runner' Richard Whithead, Double olympian James Cracknell, and the legend himself Mr Eddie Izzard. I presently spend my life meeting and working with interesting people who like to get fit and look after themselves. You very rarely see me sit down during the day and it's safe to say, my back pain is behind me!!! Show less
Running Technique Analysis, Injury Prevention, Improve Performance
Since launch in 2008, StrideUK still pretty much stands alone in the UK running technique market offering full body running analysis. Upgrading last year from 2D to 3D motion analysis provides more evidence to suggest that running technique is far less ‘technique driven’ (associating certain traits how top end runners perform and prescribing it to the Joe public) with a clear and logical shift towards Physics and how our bodies cater with compressing and decompressing against Gravity (the Pogo… Show more Since launch in 2008, StrideUK still pretty much stands alone in the UK running technique market offering full body running analysis. Sports Injury Therapist
With my redundancy in 2001, I retrained towards sports injury and rehabilitation. This was of no surprise to me as I wanted to find a physical job and try to help people. Having taken over an osteopathy clinic when I 'graduated' at David Lloyd (the osteopath had an opportunity to set up alone closer to his home), I developed David Lloyds first Sports Injury Clinic at Brighton Marina, and spent close to 8 years working in sports therapy, massage, injury and rehabilitation (specialising in lower… Show more With my redundancy in 2001, I retrained towards sports injury and rehabilitation. As running had always been a 'go to' when life feels stressful, I gravitated to wanted to explore running biomechanics. At the same time, my wife to be (met her on a sports therapy course) we set up Studio57clinic in Hove as trial project to see if we could create a further well performing business to the Hove residents. This succeeded requiring us to relocate to a bigger premises and employ up to 12 members of staff to work with us. Show less
European Recruitment / Headhunter
Finally giving up the stress of commuting, I got a job working with a Brighton based recruitment company MCL. This was definitely going to be my last job in recruitment as despite being relatively good at it, my heart wasn't in it. With the tragedy of 9/11, recruitment hit an all-time low, I took redundancy and explored new career options.
European Recruitment Consultant
Having tired of the commuting daily to London, I secured a job developing the european department for capital software recruitment, Burgess Hill. A great 'family feel' company which worked at a better pace with better ethos too. Recruitment seemed quite easy for me, very rarely had a bad day, but coming to the conclusion that I needed to choose a different career, one that did n't have me sitting down all day behind a PC. My back pain became more of normality to me. Sales Representative
Just as soon as i passed my driving test, I got a job, with a company car, with a company fuel card too! I worked for a plastics company (simular to addis or curver) selling to wholesale and retail outlets south england. I was 17 years old and drove 52,000 miles a year selling up and down the country. Finding that I had a natural flair for meeting and selling to people, I moved to another company where earning potential was greater.
