Supervises military and civilian subordinates including those in the ranks and grades of field grade officer and GS-13. Plans near and long term work to be accomplished; interprets policy and procedures, and establishes priorities. Directs a segment of an Army wide program, responsible for development of complex, highly technical organization requirements and authorizations documents which are used to manage manpower and equipment requirements and authorizations for units critical to the national defense and related planning, programming, budgeting, and execution systems. Work directly affects most Army organizations, to include the Active, Army National Guard, and US Army Reserve components. Application requires broad knowledge of the functional areas being analyzed and of the technical documentation process, to direct the development of TOEs, BOIPs, MTOEs, MARC Studies and AUGTDAs for current and future forces of the Army. These organization documents are essential to the worldwide manning, equipping, and sustainment of Maneuver, Maneuver Support and Sustainment units in combat operations or generating force operations.
