Born in Australia and raised in the Northern Beaches. Being exposed to various landscapes and environments throughout his childhood sparked his interest in landscape design, to better the surrounding environment. Mitchell is in the process of completing his fourth year of Landscape Architecture at UNSW. Mitchell has gained experience from landscaping and working with which has pushed him to explore the aspects of the landscape as we know it. During his time at UNSW, he’s completed various projects. Gaining experience and new skills with hand drawings, model making, and programs such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, QGIS, Adobe Suites, Microsoft programs, and Rhino, as well as knowledge and skills from landscaping and landscape design with The Garden Makers. He has also worked at JMD Design, refining his AutoCAD skills and developing his knowledge within a variety of projects and their stages. Mitchell has always been into the creative side of life as a result of being dyslexic, using problem-solving skills he’s been able to use this to enhance design skills and not let them hold him back.Mitchell is interested in sustainability and the relationship between humans and the surrounding environment. He aims to challenge the unsustainable and poor process of urbanisation by developing urban spaces that benefit human health while creating a harmonious relationship with nature and bettering the environment.
