Skills and Experiences I have experience and knowledge working in the Engine Room holding a 12hr watch keeping standing orders with routine rounds and readings of manned and unmanned machinery spaces operations. At all times being adequate to ensure the safety of onboard personnel and machinery. Watch keeping duties include being aware of any oil / fuel oil, bilge and ballast water transfers or leakage of any operations while are done in a safe manner. Keeping a watchful eye out for any machinery damages, malfunction, flooding at any location throughout the vessel, Structural damage, accidents or incidents involving marine crew and God forbid any environmental spills. I have experience and skills in Fire Fighting / Fire Fighting Equipment, CPR, Confined Space Entry / Hole Watch, Operating a forklift and I have a Class C CDL, STCW 95, and a TWIC Card. Reading and understanding the MSDS book. Experienced in drills such as Fire, Abandon Ship and Man Overboard drills. Dilling with chemicals / chemical spills and the proper way to clean up. Working with machinery and equipment in tight spaces with inadequate lighting or inadequate ventilation. Wearing fall protection, filling out JSA’s or WRA’s, housekeeping, working in high restricted area’s. Have some skills in welding and filling out Hotwork permits.
