With the exception of this first small paragraph, I will attempt to author this entire 'about' section without using the words me, I, my or any other self-referencing words - because... you know, fun.So here we go...Born and raised in the once semi-rural town of Werribee in Victoria, much joy and satisfaction were found in music, football, swimming, surfing and riding dirt bikes - in fact, aspirations were set to becoming an incredible success in at least one of those industries/professions in the future. Unfortunately, being exceptionally average at all of those activities forced a change of plans, so at age 18 the future was reimagined without the heavy reliance on such underwhelming skills. After a stint in the building and real estate industries as a young man, the family business became the destination of choice - despite Father's rather facetious advice earlier in life to "get a good education, so you don't have to work in freight like me" - an amusing comment from the 3rd generation owner of a near 100-year-old logistics company, one would think. Upon reflection of the perceived 'second-choice' of career, the move into the family enterprise proved to be a very good decision indeed. With a natural bent for business management and some demonstrated financial nous, it was a perfect recipe for a positive alignment and outcome. Well, to be fair it hasn't been all beer and skittles, but that's what makes you learn and appreciate the good things in life and business. One can't help but to be excited by the future, both professionally and personally. Oh, helps to mention that strong areas of specialty are business/group management within the international freight, warehousing and transport industries.
