I founded Levered Learning after a 20 year career in education, after realizing the need for better, more comprehensive instructional tools. My primary work is the design of our technology-enabled instructional systems for the classroom. Unlike many ed-tech products, our instructional systems are not designed to replace classroom teachers, or provide piecemeal solutions. Instead, Levered's tools empower and support teachers so they can focus more of their time and energy on the most critical aspects of instruction.

I worked for two years at La Honda elementary as a 5th and 6th grade teacher, with specialization in math and science. I then transitioned to work for two years as a math intervention teacher at the middle and high school level, and as part of a Common Core State Standards implementation team for mathematics. I also was the director of the district's algebra readiness camp over three summers.

I worked as a general studies teacher in grades 3-5, and a math/science teacher in grades 6-8. I also was the school's first middle school head, and oversaw the launch of the middle school math and science programs. While teaching full time, I also served in the roles of technology coordinator, P.E. director, and director of scheduling, and I coached basketball and cross country.

I worked as a general education teacher in grade 5, with specialization in math and science. At Brandeis I first started developing my own elementary level, individually paced math curriculum.

I worked as a substitute in several long term positions, and led summer Algebra courses for credit recovery. I also completed my student teaching under contract at H.A. Hyde Elementary with a 5th grade SEI class.
