Served as an Assistant Coach for Fail Harder in their first entry into The Tournament (TBT Tournament), led by Kyle Guy and Jake Mills. Assisted in everything from roster creation and decisions, team strategy, preliminary team and staff meetings, and created the scouting reports for both our team, as well as our first opponent.Was able to be a part of the entirety of week-long training camp in Indianapolis, IN before our first round matchup against the home team of the regional, All Good Dawgs (Butler Alumni team). Was on the front bench as an assistant for the game, and headed up the in-game adjustments & substitutions throughout the game.Looking forward to continung to be a part of this staff for many years to come.

Spent the 2023/24 season under Mo Williams at Jackson State University while helping the TIgers to an 11-7 SWAC record. I assisted as needed in all practice drills, workouts, and coaching. Was on the bench for all home games, helped with in-game and halftime adjustments, and really focused on learning from an excellent staff throughout the entire season.My wife's acceptance into medical school in Jackson, Mississippi was the main driver in my decision to leave Houston & be a part of the best basketball opportunity available during my time there, and my time under Mo Williams and his staff has served me well, and will continue to serve me will going forward.

Worked as a player development associate for the Houston Rockets for the 2021/22 season. Job responsibilities include assisting in practices and on-court workouts, film breakdowns, scouting opponents, and assisting wherever else is needed.Was on-court for nearly all workouts throughout the season. Was in charge of the scouting and film breakdown of 6-7 teams throughout the season, coming out to around 20 scouts, and over 100 opponent game film breakdowns.For all 20 of the games that fell into my scouts, I was also in charge of the player-tendency scouts that went out to our players the night before our game. This responsibility fell fully on my shoulders and really allowed me to take ownership of my instincts and observations as a coach.

During my time working for Drew, I assisted in the off-season training of some of the NBA's top athletes: Jayson Tatum, Bradley Beal, RJ Barrett, Zach Lavine, Kelly Oubre Jr., Enes Kanter, Semi Ojeleye, Mo Bamba, Solomon Hill, Andre Roberson, and Meyers Leonard. Each day consisted of anywhere from 4-8 individual workouts where I was asked to be the primary defender for most of Ojeleye and Hill's workouts, and asked to defend, pass, rebound, and assist in the workouts of the others. Through my time with Drew Hanlen, I learned what it meant to be a professional by observing how the players carried themselves and worked each day. I also was able to observe the professionalism of Drew through each relationship, both working and personal, that he shared with each player. I am a better coach, trainer, and leader from my time with Drew, and the knowledge I obtained during this time will assist me as I continue in the world of coaching.

My weekly responsibilities included brainstorming and creating content for our social media, posting on social media, meeting with athletes to build relationships, planning events, and leading meetings or bible studies. I attended and assisted in practices and conditioning every day, rebounded and helped with individual workouts, and built relationships with the coaches and players, all as a volunteer and all while simultaneously enrolled in a full-time graduate program.

Was a member of the Mississippi State Basketball team for 3 years under Ben Howland after playing a year of junior college basketball at East Mississippi Community College. Became a better leader, player, and person, and these 3 years cultivated my interest and confidence in being able to coach basketball for a living. These 3 years turned into a graduate assistant spot the following year, the opportunity to work with NBA workouts the following summer, and a year with the Houston Rockets in a video and player development role.

As a member of the SEC Men's Basketball Leadership Council, I was the face and the voice of Mississippi State's men's basketball team. I took player thoughts and concerns to the conference office in order to start conversations about changes that we wanted to see as players. I learned how to lead and also how to be led by some of the greatest sports minds in the country through these bi-annual meetings. I was eventually elected the Vice Chair of the council for the 2019-2020 season.
