During my time as an employee of The University of Newcastle I am proud to have taken on varied roles that both complimented and expanded my skillset. I was engaged in the tutoring and marking students of architecture and construction management in studio, history, and communication subjects; as well as preparing and delivering lectures in Construction Technology. I enjoyed working collaboratively in an agile way to promote various problem-solving approaches and a high standard of self-awareness. I also challenged students to further their capacity for empathy within the design process. Reminding them that lived experience varies and they need to consider how users different to themselves will use and inhabit the spaces they design.

I formed Haptic Studio to create a trauma-informed design fit out for Carrie's Place, a domestic violence and homelessness service organisation in East Maitland. Haptic celebrates an evidence-based design approach; focusing on authentically empathetic design that is driven by secondary research and first-hand experience from representatives of the end user group. During my time at Haptic, I also initiated an investigation into an affordable housing development on a remnant block of land previously owned by the LAHC in Bateau Bay.

During my time at Fabric, I cultivated my ability to maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and government employees. Supported by a fantastic team, my time at Fabric was a period of intense growth.I routinely managed project delivery from conception to construction. Maintaining a high level of communication and client satisfaction. My team came to rely on the high quality of customer service I continually delivered.
