Mitch develop two smart meter data access frameworks - developing expertise in the fair and open sharing of data. This culminated in the Metering review’s final report, which recommended a data sharing framework for network businesses to receive basic power quality data. This data is integral to the future grid - ensuring all networks have a basic understanding of local capacity and safety issues. This will contribute towards maximising hosting capacity and optimising future investment decision. Mitch also designed an enabling framework for consumer access to real-time data. This enabling framework would ensure the value of smart meter data is maximised on behalf of customers - contributing to new and emergent use cases of the future grid. Show less

As a core team member, Mitch delivered various aspects of the process including the development of a strategic intelligence report, scenarios of possible futures, and working through how to realise the strategic plan within the work and people at the AEMC.Mitch is also passionate about embedding the Clarity Framework in the AEMC. Within the role of Clarity Champion, Mitch grew his facilitation skills and gained exposure to projects and people across the organisation. Mitch delivered several sessions of Clarity with his project work, including liaising with project teams and externally with Fold7 to facilitate multiple sessions. As a Clarity Champion, Mitch has established effective working relationships and fine-tuned his communication skills.As Project Leader, Mitch managed the simplification of the Rules definitions and facilitated stakeholder engagement to identify opportunities and improve the readability and clarity of the Rules.
