ACADEMIC DESIGN EXPERIENCE:• Senior Design Project: Developed and designed model house with attached solar panel for Ameren’s alternative energy educational exhibit. Monitored power production of solar panel with Arduino Nano and displayed measurements on LED arrays. Created Android app with Bluetooth connection to display solar panel statistics. Presented final project that followed customer specifications.• Runway Guidance Lights (RGL): Designed and developed operation manual, design schematic and simulation, and wiring diagram for installation and use. RGL provides visual reference to increase landing safety at airports and military bases. Sourced ETL certified and ICAO recommended parts. Reported projected costs, work hours, and parts list. • Variable Gain Wideband Differential Amplifier: Given assorted components and design schematic, built and tested amplifier and compared results with theoretical calculations to check for consistency and errors. Wrote report to provide evidence of adherence to design criteria, and provide measured data.• NPN Transistor Test Device: Designed and built device to test 2N222A transistors to ensure quality and advertised range specifications are met.• Temperature Regulator: Designed and built thermistor circuit to monitor and maintain temperature range or a storage tank.
