Midshipman
CurrentAs a full-time student and Midshipman at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I am dedicated to the Naval Reserve Officer Training (NROTC) program. While serving part-time in the U.S. Navy Reserves during the school year, I transition into periods of active-duty training over the summer. In addition to my usual college courses, I take Naval Science classes that discuss topics such as Naval history, leadership, navigation, engineering, and weapons systems. I have also had the opportunity to develop my leadership skills through various positions, such as:-Physical Training Officer (May 2024 - Present): Responsible for organizing, leading, and executing all battalion workouts to ensure the physical readiness of all Midshipmen in the battalion. -Color Guard Commander (May 2024 - Present): Responsible for organizing and commanding all joint ROTC Color Guards, including football games, basketball games, Navy and Marine Corps birthday ball, and any special events.
