As a member of the Security Engineering team, I am responsible for high level support and configuration of Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco Firepower and ASA devices for enterprise customers. This includes L7 inspection, firewall security policy reviews, and advice on implementing firewall changes with least privilege. I also work extensively with Qualys vulnerability management tools to enable delivery of customer vulnerability assessments.

I managed network architecture and application design for 40 small and medium business clients in Central Florida. I designed functional, secure networks per client specifications and requirements by configuring and installing recommended hardware and software, monitoring network performance, and creating and implementing network security mechanisms. I designed and implemented a data center hosting solution utilizing VMware, Cisco Nexus and Palo Alto components, setting our company apart for other local managed service providers.

I managed a team whose tasks included maintaining network connectivity at 50 locations across Central Florida, management of 2 data centers, an extensive virtualized server environment, 15 ATM's, and VOIP telephony in an environment that required the highest level of security.

Served as the main point of contact for all IT-related issues for four offices of a family-owned insurance agency serving Central Florida. Managed IT purchases, vendor acquisitions, software and hardware upgrades, and two corporate websites.
