PROJECTS:2013 – Global Change Institute $26 Million – 6 Star Green Star and Living Building Challenge project. The project is a state of the art facility for the university to lead by initiative and to research more sustainable practices at a global stage. 2012 - Brisbane Housing Company- 4 Bonney Lane, Fortitude Valley - $18 Million, 8 Storeys consisting of 1,2 & 3 bedroom units (83 in total). Also consisted of 2 levels of commercial and a basement. 2011 - 26-28 Manila St Beenleigh – Multi Unit Dwelling - Affordable Housing- $2.9 Million. 14 two bedroom units and 4 three bedroom apartments. Roles & Responsibilities:• Compiling and sending trade packages out to market • Compiling scope of works (including budget transfers) • Compiling trade conditions noting contractual conditions • Detailed subcontractor comparison against budget (putting forward recommendation) • Negotiating with preferred subcontractors • Closing the deal with preferred subcontractor • Compiling and issuing a contract • Material ordering • Certifying and producing progress claim certificates • Assessing and approving variations (including backcharges) • Processing of invoices • Maintain RFI, EOT, Variation, Concrete, Reo etc registers • Issuing RFI’s to the client • Identifying and issuing of head contract variations/claims • Identifying and issuing of extensions of time claims • Document Control, Superseding Drawings/specifications • Compiling Form 15s, 16s and relevant certificates for CoC • Compiling Handover Manuals • Distribution of defect list to relevant trades • Closing out defects

Value management and opportunity review, Cost plans and project estimates were undertaken this role. Cost plans were completed for Commercial, Residential, Mix used development and mining projects Roles & Responsibilities: • Alternative product research and evaluation • Value management • Risk assessment • Design coordination and Client meetings • Consultancy business research and review • Detailed consultant comparison against budget (putting forward recommendation) • Compiling and issuing contracts to consultants • Compiling drawing registers • Creating tender packages (including compiling a register) • Creation of scope of works/ for each trade pricing • Calling tenders ongoing support and questioning • Setting up a buildsoft estimate • Measuring trades (Full take offs done by manual entering into buildsoft and also through measurement software on buildsoft) • Gathering subcontractors prices • Comparison/analysing of subcontractor prices • Estimating subcontractor shortfalls • Analysing specifications • First Principal take offs where required • Standard rates formulated and tabulated from site and market feedback • Document Control • Compiling tender submission in accordance with client requirements and expectations

Project estimates were undertaken for residential, commercial, industrial and mix used developments ranging from $2 to $23Million.

While I was undertaking my high school studies at St Laurence's College, I undertook a school based apprenticeship with a residential builder.
